Aaron A. Anderson, CFA, EA
Partner & Senior Financial Analyst
Aaron Anderson joined DFS Advisors, LLC as a consultant in April 2014 and began service as a full time-analyst the following July. He was promoted to Partner upon receiving his Chartered Financial Analyst designation through the CFA Institute in August 2018 after having been promoted to Senior Financial Analyst in August 2017. In his new capacity, Aaron will be taking on a more active role with client relationships with an increasing responsibility of account management and customer service functions. He will also continue in his role is as an investment analyst, applying his mathematics and technology skills to developing and formalizing the processes of evaluating equity investments for our advisory accounts.
In addition to his roles as a partner and financial analyst, Aaron is the resident branch manager for our Mooresville, North Carolina office. He is also the chief information officer and in-house technical advisor for both offices.
Aaron graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of South Florida in 2002, with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. He received a Master's of Arts in Mathematics from USF in 2004, with a concentration in Pure & Applied Math. His most recent position prior to joining DFS Advisors was as professor of mathematics at Hillsborough Community College in Brandon, Florida. He achieved tenured status, serving as a professor there from 2007 until 2014. Additionally, he chaired the Faculty Instructional Technology Committee. This experience, we believe, enhanced his abilities, first for the technical role of an equities analyst, but also for the client communications skills needed in the role of an investment advisor.
Aaron attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America, and enjoys volunteering and serving in various capacities with his church. He currently lives in Mooresville with his lovely wife, Rachelle, and two children, Alexis and Seth.
Aaron holds FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Exam) and is licensed for life and health insurance sales and service. He is also a CFA Charterholder, having completed each of the three levels of the rigorous educational pre-requisite for this designation on his first attempt. As part of our tax practice, Aaron is an Enrolled Agent and is admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.
